BIOGRAPHY

Michael Joyce is a Senior Managing Director and is the Global Head of Greystar’s Investment Research & Strategy. Michael is also a member of the Greystar Executive Committee and a voting member of Greystar’s Global Investment Committee. Operating within the Office of the Chief Investment Officer, Michael is integral in spearheading research-informed strategy formulation, capitalization, and deployment. He has guided the growth and adoption of Greystar's data-based, all-weather investment framework. This investment in a data-driven approach supports Greystar's global business, enhancing Greystar’s investment decisions and balancing relative value across the platform with micro-market insights in a globally consistent manner.

Prior to joining Greystar in 2017, Michael invested the Consumer Discretionary and Homebuilding portfolio at hedge funds Diamondback Capital, Citadel Investment Group, and CDP Capital, respectively.  

He holds bachelor’s degrees in economics and history from the University of Virginia.
