Greystar Breaks Ground on The Henry at Whitney Village

Tampa, FL – April 22, 2025 – Greystar, the global leader in rental housing, investment management, development, and property management, and Griffin Capital, a real estate investment and management company, today announced the groundbreaking of The Henry at Whitney Village in St. Petersburg, Florida. 

Located in the Grand Central District, The Henry at Whitney Village will be a 5-story, 325-unit wrap-style development offering a mix of studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom residences. 

At the heart of the community is a vibrant courtyard designed for both relaxation and connection, featuring a pool with private cabanas, shuffleboard courts, ping pong tables, outdoor grill stations, fire pits, and generous lounging areas. 

Additional thoughtfully designed amenities include a resident clubhouse with a lounge and bar, pet spa with grooming stations, sauna, fitness center, smart home technology, EV charging stations, coworking spaces, private offices, bike storage, and more. The project is being developed on 3.5-acres of a larger 12.9-acre tract owned by YMCA.

Construction is scheduled to begin in April 2025, with completion expected in March 2027. Pre-leasing will begin in December 2026.
