BIOGRAPHY

Ashley Heggie is an Executive Director of Development Operations for Greystar Development & Construction Services. In this role, he is responsible for financial oversight, strategic planning, and operational support for the company’s regional development teams and the platform at large. Ashley oversees North American development finance, asset management, quality control, financial reporting, and support services. Additionally, he administers the North America development investment committee process, sits on the Greystar Executive Committee, and supports the expansion of Greystar’s global development and modular construction capabilities.

Prior to his current role, Ashley was on the Greystar project finance team and closed funds for multifamily developments in Latin America and the acquisition and development of age-restricted multifamily communities in the US. He was also involved in capitalizing $2.7 billion in JV equity and debt for the development of 43 US projects and previously oversaw the sourcing, permitting, and development of over 5,000 units across the Southeastern US. Before joining Greystar in 2004, Ashley worked for Hines, where he oversaw development activities spanning from conceptual design to permitting, leasing, financing, and execution of more than 2.3 million square feet of high-rise, LEED-certified office space in downtown Chicago.

Ashley holds a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a bachelor of science degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
